The project “INCLUSION! Actions across boundaries” was funded by the European Union’s ERASMUS+ Programme – Key Action 1. The project ran from 1 May 2019 to 31 December 2021.

It aimed to bring together young people with different backgrounds to critically assess and practically address the issue of inclusion in local communities in Europe.

The project INCLUSION! sought to raise awareness of young people of the values of solidarity and tolerance in Europe, to discuss what social exclusion is, what the discriminated groups are, to work out practical solutions on how to foster more inclusion in local European communities, and enhance equal rights and opportunities for everyone regardless of origin, culture, (dis)ability, sexual orientation, etc.

The project included two international youth exchanges, an online youth exchange, and local follow-up activities. The overall project objective was to empower young people to become agents of change in their communities and involve young people with fewer opportunities in direct exchange, dialogue and collaboration. Throughout the project, young people increased their awareness of the issue inclusion and importance of tolerance, diversity and respect in today’s society, as well as developed project ideas and gained practical skills to contribute to building more inclusive communities in Europe.
